At the border between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan the Kyrgy border guard almost didn't let us in as we said we were Scottish but our passports were from the United Kingdom. He was quite perturbed.
I was literally on tender hooks waiting for the next installment and it did not disappoint. From the heat to the food that trip would kill me (not to mind the cycling) but somehow you make me wish I was there. I loved the Edinburgh Castle and Taj Mahal link.....beautiful.....living for the next chapter......stay safe and well you guys are amazing. Dying for the catch up face to face. Philip says Hello and the women say Harriet we LOVE you.........Mary & Philip, Ruth, Laura and Katie XXXXXX
So glad you've made it to India that's really amazing.
Your blog has brought back memories of my two trips to India many moons ago....I wrote in my travel journal ' A kaleidoscope of colour, a cacophony of sound ...and bloody cows everywhere '
Thank you Christine, it's brilliant to hear your Indian experience - what a timeless place it seems! 😂 any comment or memories on the food? 😄 lots of love.
Every read I think “this is my favourite so far”. Brilliant update. Sounds like an absolute blast. Well done on 10,000kms. What a milestone. Keep the updates coming and keep smashing it. Uz are doing and looking amazing ❤️
Reminds me so vividly the huge crowds and continuous sharing/ and saying one is Scottish
a real question stopper even in Italy

It’s a near universal ignorance I’m afraid - not why I always say I’m Scottish but it can inform that we’re a different country

You'd be swell at it, Mary, not a bother on you. Plenty of practice with swerving around the cows. Lots of love to the Emerald Isle! 💚 xxx

Thank you! 😁 it's definitely a bit surreal, but you can't stop to dwell on it for too long as there's too much chaos all around you! X
